Simian Saturday : Aqua Apes!

This one is for Eli who recently commented on my last Simian Saturday post that Apes can't swim!  Well see this proves you wrong!  ; )  Now if they would just do these for Legos!  LOL

    Surfing with the Aqua Apes would be great!

    What amazes me is that somebody thought this up. I like it, but how does that even come around. How do you pitch this concept and score a win?

    "I've got a great idea for a comic that's all about a group of uinderwater heroes..."

    Already not thr strongest of concepts.

    "They have a big submarine"

    Still a bit of a snore.

    "Oh yeah, and they're all apes"

    WIN!

    This was a cover from the brief JLApes series by DC, the big ape in the front is the ape version of Aquaman!
