Latest Acquisitions...

Finally got a day off from work so I hit the local Comic Shop, FLGS and Thrift Stores.  I think I've depleted the local Goodwill Store's cool books supply for now, but I did get some great buys at a nearby used book store that a friend told me about. Got all of the below books for $2 a piece.  I don't have time to read all of these but I tell my wife this is part of my "retirement" plan.  When I get old and grey I hope to sit and catch up on all of the reading I've been missing out on all these years.  ; )
The real acquisition that I'm excited about is the Alien Legion Omnibus! I was quite excited to find this at my local Comic Shop. I think it was $24 or so.
If your a fan of the original Epic Comics Alien Legion series but are missing some of the earlier issues you may want to check this out.  I only have a few of the older issues so this was a great find for me.
Have a good one.

  1. Ooh, I really enjoyed Alien Legion. Great idea for an RPG setting. I'm not familiar enough, with the many science fiction RPG's, to know which one would make the best fit.

  2. Thanks James, I too thought Alien Legion would make a great RPG, I actually ran an Alien Legion Campaign briefly for Alternity many years ago it was a blast!

  3. (does best zombie imitation) Um, books, must have books!

  4. That anthology entitled 'Afterwar' is a good buy Bill. :) I read a copy of a friend's way back and there are great post-apoc stories there. Wish we had something like your 'goodwill' stores here

  5. Thanks for the info Spielmeister. I'm always on the lookout for some good PA reading.
