Simian Saturday

Wow, I'm not sure what the heck is going on in this poster, I sure don't recall any of this in the original Planet of the Apes Movies, but man this is pretty crazy cool!  Not sure about the wings on the V-Necked Space Dude's ankles but whatever.  This looks like a perfect image for an Encounter Critical Game!  Lets see...  Flying Saucers! Apemen! RayGuns! Ruins!   Hmmm Ruins and Rayguns! That has a cool ring to it!!!
Have a Great Simian Saturday!

  1. It's definitely an Italian poster for "Battle of the Planet of the Apes" (the last film in the original series). There's often a lot of divergence from what's in a film and some of the foreign posters, whose artists generally get a line of description like "Mutants fighting talking apes. Go!" But yeah, flying saucers and ray guns looks more like something out of the old Marvel PotA magazines!

  2. That's a spiffy sci-fi cheese version of an english language poster. It's always amusing to see how movie titles change in foreign markets, someone thought "Year 2670- The Final Act" would sell.
