Here's a little post getting back to my Post Apocalyptic Gaming roots and love of minis! My buddy did a fantastic job painting up these minis! Really glad I backed the kickstarter for them.
Man. I have been Jonesin' hard for a "serious" GW game lately...like, the last couple months. Might have something to do with finishing up the excellent Scooby-Doo Apocalypse comic series.
These do look nice, man. Damn, I wish I still had my GW stuff: loaned it to a buddy a few years back and he sold it! And it's pretty expensive these days to pick up print copies of 1E and 2E stuff.
Hey JB, thanks for dropping in and commenting! While we are having a great time with our OSE Campaign, I'll admit a "serious" GW game (the way we always played it) would be a blast! Is the Scooby Doo series any good? That's a shame you lost your GW stuff, I still have most of mine. Some are available as reprints now.
I have picked up the 1E softcover (reprint) from DTRPG. However, I came up with 2E, and that one isn't (yet) available. Used to have GW1 and GW2 the 1st ed screen and a complete 2E box set (including the Rite of Passage). Rebuilding the stack is tough.
The Scooby-Doo Apocalypse is...yeah, it's good. It's very, very clever, and most of it is quite fun/interesting. There's probably a lot less Scooby (especially toward the end of the series) and a lot more Scrappy than I'd expect, but the overall arc feels like a fairly decent RPG campaign...maybe a low-powered (BTN scale) Rifts game, or even Aftermath...if you could throw elevated dogs into the mix. ; )
Hey JB, I didn't realize 2nd ed. wasn't available yet. Rebuilding is tough, I only have remnants of my once comprehensive collection. I will look into Scooby Doo Apocalypse thanks!
