Tarzan : The Once and Future Tarzan

I'm a big Tarzan fan and as those who follow my blog know I'm a big fan of Post Apocalyptic stuff.
So when I heard about this upcoming One Shot From Dark Horse Comics, I thought OH YEAH!!!
Here's the blurb about it:
"Just in time for the 100th anniversary of Edgar Rice Burroughs’s Tarzan of the Apes, artist Thomas Yeates (Prince Valiant, Conan) spins a surprising new tale that drops the lord of the jungle in an unfamiliar setting—the future! Can Tarzan’s vine-swinging skills serve him in the half-flooded ruins of a future London?"

I hope this is good, I can see all kinds of gaming potential for it!  : )

  5. Cool! They remind me of that Frank Frazetta pic for the cover of ERB's The Lost Continent (aka Beyond Thirty).

You can find it here: http://paintings-art-picture.com/Fantasy-Art/Frank-Frazetta/imagepages/image410.htm

    Thanks for the find!

  7. Hey this is off topic, but where did you find that picture of Gary on the right side of your blog? I love it and can't find it anywhere! I would really like a larger copy to print and frame.

  8. Hey Matt,
Welcome to the blog. I wish I could remember where I found it. It was on my hard-drive for quite awhile before I posted it. I'm sorry to say I have no idea where I originally found it. : (

  9. Thanx for the blurb, you guys. I really appreciate it. I hope you guys got a hold of the book. I realize that in-and-of-itself is quite the accomplishment these days… seeing as how most Comic Stores will have ordered only one or two of these.

Most folks have liked the Story, so far… It's just your basic Introduction that only touches on what's actually going on in the Story, so as to wet your appetite for more Tarzan. So, I hope it interesting without giving too much away.

I think Dark Horse is going to pick this up as a continuing story in Dark Horse Presents (I hope). Tom and I have a few zillion places we want to go with John Clayton… We've been talking about it for years, and hopefully we'll have our chance.

Malcadon: Me an Tom are HUGE Frazetta fans, and the cover you link to is one of my all-time fave-raves. I saw the original a few years back and I was stunned.

Just a hint concerning our love of Frank and his serious inspiration… There's a mindless race of freaky bug-folks in the book that are called The Attezarfs.
