Warlords of the Apocalypse

Just in case you all think I've gone totally over to D6...Never Fear Brutorz Bill's Gamer A.D.D. is always near! LOL
A while back (last August actually), I posted about an upcoming Pathfinder Campaign Setting called Warlords of the Apocalypse.  I usually don't preorder stuff, but this looked pretty sweet and I'd had alot of fun playing Pathfinder with the guys and my buddy Clint does a great job DMing the system.  Well, the product has been plagued with delays, and as of today still has not been released, there have been a few teasers posted which look pretty cool, one of the new races is a Not-Mok!  Woo Hoo!  Supposedly the PDF will be out by the end of the month for those that pre-ordered it (hey that's me!).  I'm really hoping this is good.  There is a thread about it over on the Paizo Forums. They recently posted what the new cover will look like, I've posted it below for those not following this product's development.

Looks like a mutant dog man, and some gun-toting lady.  Interesting...I like being able to mix and match stuff in my Campaigns.  Magic, Mutants, Guns! Etc... I'm having visions of  gun-toting Mutant Orc bikers in a fight with vibro-axe wielding barbarians covered in magical tattoos! Whew!  Keeping my fingers crossed, will keep you all posted!

  1. a Not-Mok?

What would we call something like that?

    Wookie?

After all a Not-Not-Wookie would have to be a Wookie what with the double negative, right?

Does look cool, though. I hate it. I keep trying to not get into Pathfinder. It too much system; more than is needed. But...dammit.

  2. GSV, I hear ya, I always thought the Weren from Alternity were basically Sabre-Tooth Wookiees!
I also agree about Pathfinder being alot of ..."system". BUT it is soo well done! I really enjoy playing it, DMing it is where I get squemish and go, "but guys what about an OSR game instead??"

  3. Exactly. As a player I can handle it. But trying to run it? Knowing that some of the players are going to want to ring all the bells & blow all the whistles.

  4. I pre-ordered also, and have been dying for it to come out...

...but I REALLY prefer the old cover. Hurm.

  5. I am also on the pre-order list. Though I think I like the original cover better. I'm not a big fan of that artwork above. Still looking forward to this book though.

  6. I agree with you guys about the cover. Looks like enough folks have commented that they are considering going back to the original.

  8. Tetsubo last I heard Preordering folks like us are supposed to have it in our hands by the end of this month. Uh yeah, that's now isn't it? I must admit to being rather skeptical. I tend to not preorder stuff for this very reason, but was excited by the sounds of this product. Wasn't it originally supposed to be out by last December or some such???

  9. Correct. The PDF was suppose to be available for download in November to the preorder crowd and the physical book was to ship in December. Then the date was pushed back to this month. Which is almost gone...
